Problem/Solution

Problem: A paper mill specifies one grade of material but the supplier ships another. Returning rejected loads to the shipper is expensive.

Solution: We have multiple options—from finding another user for the material to locating someone to sort and bale it. The key is why the shipment was rejected: weight discrepancies, contaminants, the wrong glue, ink or coating. If one mill can’t handle a particular contaminant, we find another that does. And having multiple offices around the U.S. gives us the ability to have someone onsite to inspect the load and identify the contaminants.

Problem:

Recycling takes many forms:

  • For a major facial tissue manufacturer, the problem was lotion-impregnated tissue.
  • For a trading card producer, it was trading cards with two-sided ultraviolet coating and foil stamping.
  • For a paper converter, it was fluorescent, colored and coated scrap.

Solution:

Each of these companies called Donco more than five years ago and Donco created recycling solutions for each. Today each is still a Donco customer. And each is still receiving steady revenues from stable markets from their recycled waste.
