THE DONCO FAMILY OF RECYCLING COMPANIES

A pioneering past.

Ohio Pulp Mills was a forerunner in recycling materials once considered irretrievable. Our track record in blazing trails in the economics and technology of paper recycling continues to generate significant dividends for our customers. When poly coating replaced wax coating on milk cartons, the mill was the first to develop a way to separate the plastic from the fiber. This allowed our customers to profit from scrap that otherwise would have ended up as landfill. Today our cost-effective process recycles scrap from all kinds of poly-coated products—from paper cups to frozen food packaging.

A head start on the future.

Scrap paper is a strategic material—one to which we are more committed than ever. In our pursuit of high-quality pulp, we are focused on developing new combinations of raw materials. A critical tool in this process is our fiber cleaning and screening system—an efficient five-stage process. This advanced technology offers highly sensitive online monitoring to detect contamination and gauge consistency of brightness. Our output of 50%, air-dried pulp is packed in 1,300-pound bales and shipped efficiently by truck or rail. All materials—raw and finished—are computer-tracked using just-in-time principles. Because we insist on doing it right.
